It only shows black screen

When I finish updating and then I just see a black screen on the menu, no backgrounds and maps don't load

Reinstall game and do not update.

I reinstall multiple, by what you mean "do not update" is not to open the updater?
I am playing on the latest version on steam "June update" this also happens on old versions

reinstall game and on last installer window check off "update...."

Full delete game (incl. manually delete game folder). Check install directx and video drivers and then install game again (but do not update). In must be work fine (tested on win7 and win10).

Are you adding game folder in your antivirus and windows defender?
