About the GMod that you guys provided, did the version got updated? If so, can you provide a link to the new version?

Yes. You can run updater. Updates work fine.

I did run the updater but it tells me i'm in the 2023.06.28 branch. Now I'm concerned that there's also a 2024 branch.

that's ok. now you can connect and play on fullyupdated servers.
